Today, we hit a major milestone with our very first official board meeting. I’m honored to announce that I’ll be serving as the Vice President of the Board, as well as contributing my expertise as the foundation’s Marketing Director. It’s an absolute privilege to help guide this incredible organization into its next chapter.

Celebrating the 11th anniversary of QBC, this year’s event featured an amazing lineup of guests, panelists, vendors, and sponsors. As a volunteer, I had the opportunity to help make this unforgettable day happen, which included Q&A panels with Ray Knight, Gregg Jefferies, Turk Wendell, and Jose Reyes, as well as exciting discussions like The State of the Mets with Mark Healey, Baseball Night in NY by SNY, and The Til Mets Podcast.

For Mets fans, this is a must-attend event, and I highly recommend keeping an eye out for what’s in store for 2025! Volunteering at QBC was truly a special experience.

Long Island Business News really put on a wonderful event, and I am grateful to have not only had the honor of mingling with so many impressive Long Island professionals, but to have also been able to share this great moment and achievement with my colleagues and my family. My daughter’s excitement while l accepted this award will always be one of the highlights of my career.

Long Island Business News Featured me and the other 40 Under 40 recipients in this issue of their newspaper. I am in awe and humbled to see what a beautiful piece they put together, and to learn about the other recipients’ journeys.

A special thank you goes out to Dean Murray who is the former boss that I spoke about in paragraph 6, who opened up the door to my career path. Without the support of him, my family, and other friends along the way, I would not be where I am today.

It is always a privilege to volunteer alongside these amazing people at the Queens Baseball Convention, presented by SNY. With this year being the 10th Anniversary of QBC, and an amazing lineup of guests, panelists, vendors, and sponsors, it is no surprise that 2023 was bigger and better than ever. In addition to the Q&A panels with Billy Wagner, Cliff Floyd, and Terry Collins, the panels included The State of the Mets with Mark Healey, Baseball Night in NY by SNY, The Mets Pod by SNY, and NY Post’s Amazing but True Podcast. As a professional in the art industry, I was also thrilled to see the vendor list included up and coming talent like Brian Kong and Jordan Runcie-Hubbard. If you are a Mets fan, I suggest you keep an eye out for what is in store for 2024. I know I still can’t believe I got to meet John Franco, Billy Wagner, Cliff Floyd, and have breakfast with Terry Collins!

Breast cancer is a cause that is very personal to me, and being part of this event was both meaningful and inspiring.

The five miles flew by, largely thanks to the wonderful company of fellow participants who shared the same passion for raising awareness and supporting those affected by breast cancer. The event brought the community together, creating an uplifting atmosphere filled with encouragement and camaraderie.

I look forward to more events like this that not only promote health and fitness but also contribute to important causes. Together, we can make a positive impact in the fight against breast cancer!

I was very fortunate to have the privilege of working with the Sankara Eye Foundation, and attending their Be The Light Gala this weekend.

The Sankara Eye Foundation is a non-profit organization with a vision to eliminate blindness in India. India has the largest population of the world’s blind, with over 45 million visually impaired, and over 12 million of them totally blind. Nearly 80% of them can easily be cured if they receive proper treatment. Currently, Sankara performs about 330,000 free eye surgeries annually. Their goal is to provide 1 million free eye surgeries annually by the year 2030.

The event featured a delicious lunch, followed by an engaging Q&A session with Howie Rose, where he shared his insights and stories about the Mets. Attendees were also thrilled to participate in an autograph signing, getting the chance to take home a piece of memorabilia from this beloved sports commentator.

I am so grateful to volunteer once more at the Queens Baseball Convention held on December 3, 2022. It is always a privilege to be among the passionate Mets fans who come together to celebrate our beloved team at this fantastic event, presented by SNY.

This year’s convention featured an amazing lineup of guests, panelists, vendors, and sponsors, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for everyone involved. Highlights included insightful Q&A panels with Mets legends like R.A. Dickey, Howard Johnson, and the charismatic Bartolo “Big Sexy” Colon, who shared their experiences and took questions from enthusiastic fans.

Laura Schock Launches a New Career at PRMG as a Graphic Designer

Exciting things are in the works for Laura Schock, who has launched her new career as a full time Graphic Designer at The PRMG. Here Laura will perform logo creation, identity and branding design and the implementation of print ad concepts for many of PRMG’s clients. She will also provide website design and assist with tv production.
